Description:

Position Summary

Bill Acceptor drop and count; place Bill Acceptor boxes by machines, open machines and change boxes, collect boxes in carts and return to the soft count room. In the count room open each Bill Acceptor box and count and sort bills using sophisticated sorting machines. 

Supervision Exercised

Reports to the Count Team Supervisor.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Follows Drop and Count internal controls.
  2. Bill acceptor drop.
  3. Counts, straps and “bricks” (bundle) large amounts of bills in various denominations.
  4. Opens canisters from slot bill acceptors, matches bill acceptor to header card. Places currency in a plastic container.
  5. Opens table game and poker boxes, table game poker & Pai Beut poker boxes and performs table game and poker count.
  6. Performs minor repairs and maintenance to bill counting equipment.
  7. Effectively working well with other Count Team Members.
  8. Responsible for the timely and accurate completion of the casinos daily revenue count.
  9. Performs additional duties and responsibilities as necessary or assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  1. Ability to receive, count, and sort currency and chips in large amounts.
  2. Ability to prepare and maintain non-routine records and reports.
  3. Ability to work under pressure.
  4. Ability to work with speed and accuracy.
  5. Ability to deal effectively with the public and casino staff.
  6. Knowledge of drop/count and cashier cage operations highly desirable
  7. Knowledge of Casino cash receipts and reporting requirements.
  8. Knowledge of basic accounting functions.
  9. Ability to perform the physical requirements of the position
  10. Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently.

Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications, Education and Experience

Required:

  1. High School Diploma, GED certification or equivalent.
  2. Must be at least 21 years of age.

Preferred:

  1. Previous count experience.

Licensing Status

  1. Must be able to obtain and maintain the required Gaming License.
  2. Will require a post-offer, pre-employment and random drug screening.
