DELI ATTENDANT

Description:

Position Summary

Under general supervision, performs activities in support of the Deli area. Ensures that all guests receive “Far from Ordinary” service and that all transactions are conducted efficiently and accurately.

Supervision Exercised

Supervised by the Deli/Grill Supervisors and Managers.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Provides excellent customer service and establishes guest perception of superior guest service as that of exceptional hospitality and friendliness.
  2. Ensures that all items served to our guests are of high quality and presented consistently.
  3. Utilizes the 10/5 rule when making initial contact with guests and greets every guests with a warm greeting as well as a positive parting remark that expresses gratitude for their business.
  4. Maintains control and balance of bank and revenues to ensure accurate tendering the throughout shift whereas monthly variances do not exceed more or less than five dollars.
  5. Ensures that security escort is always present when transporting money to and from the casino vault.
  6. Participation in daily stand up meetings to ensure property information is understood.
  7. Timely completion of computer assisted training as required.
  8. Ensures that the cleanliness of the work area is properly maintained and that opening and closing side work is completed daily by shift as assigned.
  9. Ensures proper temperature requirements are maintained at all times as well as temperature logs completed as required.
  10. Ensures that health and safety regulations are maintained at all times.
  11. Performs additional duties and responsibilities as necessary or assigned management.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  1. Ability to follow instructions.
  2. Exhibiting a strong commitment to the organization.
  3. Maintain the highest standard of personal hygiene.
  4. Ability to deal effectively with the general public and casino staff.
  5. Knowledge of minimum temperature requirements for food/drink preservation.
  6. Knowledge of Tribal, Federal, State and local sanitary regulations regarding the preparation, maintenance, storage and sales of food/drink products.

Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications, Education and Experience

Required:

  1. High School Diploma, GED certification or equivalent.
  2. Must be at least 18 years of age.

Preferred:

  1. Experience in restaurant or food service capacity.

Licensing Status

  1. Must be able to successfully pass a stringent background investigation.
  2. Will require a post-offer, pre-employment and random drug screening.
  3. Must successfully complete the New Mexico Food Handlers course within 30 days of hire date.
