Minimum Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Business or Finance plus five (5) years of experience in advanced general ledger accounting. Gaming and Supervisory experience preferred. No felony, theft, assault or stealing convictions. Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug/alcohol screen, background investigation, obtain and maintain gaming license and to include the following:
Knowledge, Abilities, Skills, and Certifications:
•Knowledge and understanding of Generally Accepted Accounted Principles (GAAP) and Governmental Accounting Standards.
•Knowledge of gaming regulations and reporting requirements.
•Knowledge and understanding of standard accounts receivable processes.
•Knowledge of standard purchasing processes.
•Knowledge and understanding of computerized accounting systems.
•Knowledge of cash management principles and/or procedures.
•Knowledge of inventory accounting methods.
•Ability to communicate, read, and write clearly in English.
•Ability to demonstrate outstanding guest service at all times.
•Ability to guide and train team members, to include organizing, prioritizing, and work assignments.
•Ability to analyze and evaluate accounting problems and formulate sound recommendation for their resolution.
•Ability to understand and follow oral and written instruction.
•Ability to meet strict timelines.
•Intermediate skill level in Excel and accounting software.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly required to sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and be able to reach out and pick-up and hold small objects. The team member frequently is required to stand; walk; and talk or hear. The team member must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
Work Environment:
Work is generally performed in an office and casino setting with a moderate to high noise level. Evenings, graveyards, holidays and/or weekend work may be required. Extended hours and irregular shifts may also be required.
